In a recent interview on Tictalk with host Aster Amoyo, actors and good friends Empoy Marquez and Alessandra De Rossi addressed the public’s curiosity about their close relationship.
Despite being teased about a potential romance, the two emphasized that their connection is strictly platonic.
The host playfully asked Alessandra De Rossi if she could see herself falling for Empoy Marquez.
Alessandra responded with a laugh,“Siguro one day if talagang inutos na ni God, Lex talagang si Empoy, kailangan mog mag multiply or else. Ahh, Lord ikaw ba yan?”
Empoy chimed in jokingly, “Syempre, sino ba, diba si God ang dapat natin sundin.”
“Ayoko ko nga”, Alessandra replied. Both actors burst into laughter.
The host then turned to Empoy, asking if he’d ever considered romantic feelings for Alessandra.
Empoy firmly denied having such feelings, and Alessandra added that Empoy often reminds her they’re just best friends.
Throughout the interview, the genuine friendship between the two was evident. They confirmed that their on-screen chemistry truly reflects their off-screen bond. “What you see is what you get,” Alessandra De Rossi stated.
The host then playfully prodded Alessandra about balancing her close friendships with Empoy and Piolo Pascual, whose contrasting appearances drew a chuckle from the actress.
Alessandra De Rossi used the opportunity to reiterate that men and women can have strong friendships without romance being involved.
The interview continued with the two actors sharing anecdotes about their support for each other’s careers. Empoy Marquez recently celebrated his movie comeback with “My Zombabe,” with Kim Molina, directed by Bobby Bonifacio, Jr., which premiered nationwide.
Alessandras De Rossi, on the other hand, is basking in the success of her movie “Firefly,” which won Best Picture at the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival. “Firefly” shows in the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
The interview showed the strong, platonic friendship between Empoy Marquez and Alessandra De Rossi, reminding fans that a deep connection doesn’t always have to be romantic.
