DITO Telecommunity successfully went live in selected areas in Visayas and Mindanao. With its highly compelling opening promo, the new telco operator also released information regarding the compatibility of their network to several phones.

DITO Compatible Phones

DITO’s opening promo comes with Unlimited Data, DITO to DITO Calls, and Texts for only PHP 199, valid for 30 days. The opening promo will run from March 8 to 31, 2021, and is only available in the following areas:

Metro Cebu

• Carcar
• Cebu City
• Consolacion
• Danao
• Liloan
• Mandaue
• Minglanilla
• Naga
• San Fernando
• Talisay

Metro Davao

• Panabo
• Tagum
• Carmen
• Davao City
• Digos

Note: The promo also applies to those who want to purchase a DITO SIM card.

In order to take advantage of the promo, users are required to download the DITO App. A link to the app will be provided in the activation SMS, which will be sent when users activate the SIM card. All users will then need to create an account on the DITO App, where DITO will provide an initial password via SMS.

From the App Home Page, new subscribers should tap the “Welcome Offer” button to avail the promo. Once availed, the subscribers will then receive a confirmation both through the App and SMS.

For those who prefer to purchase the SIM card and not avail of the opening promo, it will cost you PHP 40 and will only get 1GB data valid for 7 days. At the moment, DITO only offers prepaid SIM cards, so postpaid users may need to wait a little longer.

DITO also stated that using its app does not use up data allocation. Moreover, if a subscriber wishes to download the app or activate the promo, he or she may do so by getting wifi access from the telco’s partner stores or using the 1GB data allocation that comes with the SIM card.
