Bruce Willis, a 67 years old well-known Hollywood action star, is stepping away from acting after his aphasia diagnosis.
His wife of 13 years, Emma Heming Willis, made a post on her Instagram account on March 30 on behalf of their entire family regarding Bruce’s health issues.
In the caption of Emma’s post, she announced the findings and issues to her husband’s supporters regarding Bruce’s health.
“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.”
According to the statement, the actor will be stepping away from his current career.
“As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”
The post ends with all the family members mentioned, “As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up’ and together we plan to do just that. Love, Emma, Demi, Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel, & Evelyn.”
People close to Bruce shared their sentiments on social media to the news regarding his health.
Kevin Smith, the director of Bruce in 2010’s “Cop Out,” made a tweet on his official Twitter account expressing his regrets from his “petty complaints” he made from 2010 regarding the actor.
“Long before any of the Cop Out stuff, I was a big Bruce Willis fan – so this is really heartbreaking to read. He loved to act and sing and the loss of that has to be devastating for him,” said Smith.
“So sorry to BW and his family,” he continued.
