After months of drought, Blinks worldwide finally has something to look forward to soon!
South Korean girl group sensation BLACKPINK confirmed Tuesday that BLACKPINK THE MOVIE is set to premiere in August, in time of its fifth anniversary since the girl’s debut.
A ‘4+1 Project’ will also be released along with the movie project to be screened at CGV nationwide and in 100 countries worldwide, YG Entertainment said last June 16.

“The movie unfolds in various sequence such as Memories Room, which shares memories of 5 years after Blackpink’s debut, Beauty with intense image cuts of the four members with distinct personalities, and Undisclosed special interview to fans,” the movie project article stated.
In addition, the movie will feature five songs from their concerts, “The Show” and “In Your Area (2018)” to give the audience a vivid experience as if they were in an actual concert hall.
CGV, on the other hand, plans to show the movie in various formats such as ScreenX that includes a tri-screen theater, 4DX that lets the audience experience the echo and catharsis of concert sites, and 4DX Screen that takes advantage of both formats.
BLACKPINK The Movie is part of BLACKPINK’s fifth-anniversary project titled 4+1 PROJECT and a gift for BLINKs (fandom name) and a festival venue for people to enjoy BLACKPINK’s passionate performance.
