To celebrate her 25th birthday last January 16, BLACKPINK’s Jennie launched her official YouTube channel, Jennierubyjane Official, which became one of the fastest growing channels to reach 1 million subscribers in less than seven hours since it became public.
Recently, BLACKPINK Jennie also became the first K-Pop female solo artist to surpass the 600 million view marker on YouTube a day before her birthday with her hit song aptly called “Solo.”
On her channel, the K-Pop star uploaded a video showing a rare and candid sneak into her life at home. The video titled “Hello world. From Jennie” now has over 17 million views and counting.
In the video, BLACKPINK Jennie talks about her outfit of the day before performing a cover of Mandy Moore’s “When Will My Life Begin?” from the Disney movie Tangled.
During the cover, BLACKPINK Jennie showed fans clips of her going through household chores, painting, and playing the guitar while riding a stationary bike. Jennie also showed herself playing with her dogs.
As of January 20, only a few days after launching, the channel already surpassed the 4 million subscriber count.
Jennie is among the four members of BLACKPINK, which also includes Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé. They made a comeback last 2020 with their album titled “The Album” with hit tracks including “Ice Cream,” “Lovesick Girls,” and “How You Like That.”
BLACKPINK will be airing their first live-streamed concert on January 31.
