MANILA, Philippines – Actress Anne Curtis revealed her new flower tattoo, which includes a Dahlia flower, on her rib side in an Instagram post.

In her debut film “Magic Kingdom: Ang Alamat ng Damortis” from 1997, Anne’s first character was named Dahlia “Lil” Macapagal.

Anne’s mother, Carmencita Ojales, loves flowers and even maintains a garden at their home in Melbourne, Australia. This may have influenced Anne’s selection of a flower for her newest tattoo design. The dahlia is particularly significant to Anne as her favorite flower, which led her and her husband, Erwan Heussaff, to name their daughter after it.

Anne revealed her new tattoo on December 31, the day before New Year’s Day. Although she had shared hints of the tattoo in photos over several weeks, she only displayed the whole design as the year ended. Instagram sent a notification regarding a topless photo, potentially violating the app’s guidelines. Anne found this amusing and shared it in an Instagram story.

Anne has previously gotten a tattoo. In October 2017, her first one was done at Playground Tattoo in South Korea. The tattoo artist revealed that Anne’s design was “cross lettering,” featuring the word “dream” in the shape of a cross on her wrist.

In addition, Anne credited LA-based artist Doctor Woo for her recent stylish tattoo. Doctor Woo has a prestigious clientele, including celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Emilia Clarke, Drake, and Cara Delevingne.

After nearly a decade-long hiatus, Anne is set to return to television this year as the lead in a series. She will star in the Philippine version of the popular Korean show “It’s Okay Not To Be Okay,” alongside Joshua Garcia and Carlo Aquino.
