weather update november 22 2022

WEATHER UPDATE —  According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), no Low-Pressure Area (LPA) is spotted inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Meanwhile, the ITCZ continues to affect Palawan and Mindanao.

The weather agency is currently not monitoring any LPA near or inside the PAR.

Meanwhile, the Shear Line is no longer affecting the Philippine weather. However, it is replaced by Easterlies – a weather system affecting a large portion of Luzon.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to affect Palawan and Mindanao.

WEATHER TODAY – November 22, 2022

For today’s weather forecast, the Easterlies will bring cloudy skies, rainshowers, and thunderstorms to Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region.

On the other hand, the ITCZ brings cloudy skies, isolated rainshowers, and thunderstorms to Palawan.

The rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, may expect fair weather conditions except for some rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

The Zamboanga Peninsula, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi may experience cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. The rest of Mindanao and Visayas may expect fair weather conditions, except for some rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA forecasts that the Easterlies will continue to affect Luzon for the next three days, while the ITCZ will affect Mindanao.

Legazpi City may expect cloudy skies with rainshowers on Wednesday, while Metro Davao is to prepare for the same weather conditions for the next three days or until Friday.

Metro Cebu, on the other hand, may expect cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers by Friday.

Metro Manila and Baguio City are forecast to have fair weather conditions for the next three days.
