WATCH: Highly-anticipated Webtoon adaptation ‘All Of Us Are Dead’ drops trailer

Before 2021 ended, streaming giant Netflix dropped the trailer of its latest webtoon adaptation of the South Korean series All Of Us Are Dead on December 31, 2021.

The upcoming zombie apocalypse series will be based on the popular webtoon Now at Our School by Joo Dong-geun published between 2009 and 2011 via webtoon.

In its official webtoon synopsis, the story centers around students at Hyosan High School, where they discovered that their school is the “ground zero of a deadly virus that turns its victims into flesh-eating monsters.”

“As the virus tears through their schoolmates in a matter of hours, they realize they have nowhere to run. Trapped in their high school with zombified versions of their friends and teachers, they must find a way to fight—and escape with their lives,” it read.

Netflix first announced the production of the series in a press release on April 12, 2020. However, it was temporarily suspended in August 2020 due to the re-surging of COVID-19 infections in South Korea.

The series stars Yoon Chan-young, Park Ji-hoo, Cho Yi-hyun, Park Solomon, and Yoo In-soo.
