MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) is once again offering 24 online free courses, allowing participants to complete them at their own pace.
The university underscores its dedication to “borderless education,” providing courses that are “free, self-paced, and accessible to all.”
UPOU emphasized that finishing each course successfully will lead to the issuance of e-certificates, representing 16 hours of training, which can be included in one’s credentials.
Accessible to all this year, the courses cover various categories including ODeL teacher accreditation, child rights protection and promotion, technology for teaching and learning, educational media production, sustainable development, business analytics, introduction to distance education, and more.
It also encompasses subjects such as gender sensitivity, graphic design, social entrepreneurship, video editing, and various others.

- Complete the registration form available here:https://url.upou.edu.ph/upoumodel-signup
- Log in to your newly created MODeL account after receiving the email.
- Update your password to a robust and unique one.
For several years, UP Open University has been at the forefront of online teaching and learning, maintaining a prominent position in the exploration and application of open learning and distance education in the Philippines. The university provides courses in diverse formats and styles.
UPOU mentioned that login details are dispatched every Thursday until 4 p.m. on Wednesdays, with requests received after the deadline addressed in the subsequent week.
In the second step, UPOU recommends that individuals “log in to the newly created Massive Open Distance eLearning (MODeL) account upon receipt of the email.”
