TREASURE’s Doyoung, born Kim Doyoung, has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), YG Entertainment confirmed on Wednesday, July 13.

As translated by Soompi, other TREASURE members and staff have tested negative besides the 17-year-old singer. They all went through a COVID-19 self-test kit ahead of an advertisement shoot yesterday, July 12. 

Cancelling all schedules, both the members and their surrounding staff received PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests—confirming Doyoung’s positive results.

“We have shared this information with all related personnel in a swift and accurate manner, and we took preemptive measures more intensive than what is advised in the guidelines set by health authorities,” YG Entertainment said.

“We will continue to prioritize the health of our artists and surrounding staff and provide our full support. We will quickly make an announcement if any changes arise in the future,” the agency ended.
