Stranger Things released an official trailer on Tuesday, April 12 this year, on its most-awaited Season 4, and the release date was on May 27, 2022.
The trailer for the Netflix series shows a demon-like creature threatening the town of Hawkins in Indiana. The scenes shown show Eleven, a character played by Millie Bobby Brown, winning the town’s battle against the monster.
The brothers and creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, have described season four as their “Game of Thrones season” for its sprawling narrative, numerous characters, and lengthy episode count.
The fourth season of the television show will be split into two volumes, with “Volume 1” premiering on May 27 (three years after the airing of the third season). The second half of the fourth season, “Volume 2,” will premiere on July 1 this year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, there was a recent announcement that the fifth season will be the last one.
The creators also hinted that the show’s plot could continue in the form of a sequel or spinoff series.
“There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things: new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes. But first, we hope that you stay with us as we finish this tale of a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave friends, of a broken police chief and a ferocious mom, of a small town called Hawkins, and an alternate dimension known only as the Upside Down,” said the creators.
One of Netflix’s biggest flagship shows, Stranger Things, first arrived on the streaming service in July 2016. The series focuses on a young girl with supernatural powers who joins up with a friendship group in Hawkins, Indiana, where strange things are indeed going down.
The official Twitter account of Stranger Things tweeted the trailer of the series.
“It’s time. ˙ǝpᴉs ɹǝɥʇo ǝɥʇ uo noʎ ǝǝs Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 premieres May 27th, only on Netflix.”
