SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo will be the next member of the popular K-pop group to fulfill his mandatory military service.
This announcement was made by PLEDIS Entertainment on March 5, 2025.
This news means Wonwoo will be unable to participate in SEVENTEEN’s scheduled activities following that date, including the Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025 festival and the group’s fan meeting in Japan.
However, fans will have the opportunity to see him at the “SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND” concert from March 20 to 21, 2025, and through various pre-recorded content.


In accordance with his wishes for a private enlistment, there will be no official event on the day of his departure.
Fans are kindly requested to refrain from visiting his workplace of alternative military service and are encouraged to send their messages of support through Weverse.
Wonwoo’s enlistment aligns with South Korea’s mandatory military service requirements for male citizens.

PLEDIS Entertainment has assured fans that they will provide Wonwoo with all the necessary support during his service and appreciate continued love and support for the artist until his safe return.
Wonwoo will be the second SEVENTEEN member to enlist, following Jeonghan’s enlistment in September 2024.

South Korea’s mandatory military service typically lasts for approximately 18 months, though exact service durations may vary.
Wonwoo is expected to return in late 2026.
