The city government of Cagayan de Oro City, through its Humanitarian Assistance Cluster, has created a process flow to assist stranded Kagayan-anons in some other areas across the country who wants to go home in the city.
Check out the process flow for the returning residents/OFWs below:
STEP 1 | MUST connect first with the following:
- For Land-based OFWs, contact OWWA for their assistance;
- For Sea-based OFWs, contact their manning agencies for assistance; and
- For Non-OFWs, proceed to STEP 2
STEP 2 | MUST secure and submit the following to the CDO City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office:
- BARANGAY CERTIFICATE OF RESIDENCY from the barangay where they permanently reside (to be acquired by any family member, relative, or acquaintance);
- Information sheet; and
- Identification Car (Photocopy/scanned copy only).
STEP 3 | Submission of the requirements
The LGU-CDO, through the Office of the City Administration, will issue a CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE to be forwarded to the LGU where the returning of residents/OFWs are currently located.
STEP 4 | Transportation Details
The returning residents/OFWs shall await for the transportation details advisory. OWWA shall facilitate the travel arrangements for OFWs. For Non-OFWs, this shall be coordinated with the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (RIATF).
STEP 5 | Departure
Upon departure, the returning residents/OFWs shall present a MEDICAL CERTIFICATE (proof that he/she is not a PUM/PUI or not exhibiting influenza/flu-like symptoms and is fit to travel) from the Health Office or BHERT where they are currently located.
Note: The said certificate must be acquired NOT LATER THAN 2 DAYS prior to departure. Certificates acquired beyond the period indicated shall NOT BE ACCEPTED and will be denied entry.
For OFWs and residents who have visited countries with incidence of the COVID-19 MUST also attach a CERTIFICATION that they have completed the MANDATORY 14-DAY QUARANTINE.
Upon the approval of the City Health Office, qualified residents maybe allowed to spend their quarantine at home, subject to the guidelines for this purpose.
STEP 6 | Arrival Instructions
Upon arrival and once cleared by the Port Health Personnel, they will be escorted by a City Government Vehicle and/or patrol car directly to their designated community isolation unit/quarantine area.
STEP 7 | 14-day quarantine
The returning residents/OFWs will undergo a 14-day quarantine and will be regularly monitored by the City Health Office or BHERT.
STEP 8 | Completion of the 14-day quarantine
Once the 14-day quarantine is COMPLETE and CLEARED from Physical Examination, the City Health Office will issue a CLEARANCE allowing the quarantined residents to return to his/her home.
