According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, almost 8 million Philippine Identification cards have been delivered across the country.

PSA Assistant Secretary Rosalinda Bautista said in a statement that 8,176,454 cards have been distributed to Filipinos who successfully registered for the PhilSys Step 1 and Step 2 process. 

“We, at PSA, together with the Philippine Postal Corporation (Post Office) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, are doing our best to accommodate millions of Filipinos who have successfully registered for PhilSys Step 1 and Step 2,” PSA Assistant Secretary Rosalinda P. Bautista, Deputy National Statistician of the PhilSys Registry Office said.

To protect their personal information, the PSA reminded registrants who obtained their PhilIDs and the associated letter that included their PhilSys Number (PSN) not to post it on social media.

Filipinos can register online at register.philsys.gov.ph or through their barangay field offices, according to Bautista. – WhatALife!
