The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) informed the public on Sunday, March 28, that it has temporarily suspended its lotto and other digit games operation covering the selling and conducting of draws starting Monday, March 29 until Wednesday, 31, 2021.
In an advisory posted on its official Facebook page, PCSO said that the suspension during the stated period is in place “pending approval of its request to conduct draws at the PCSO Main Office located in Mandaluyong City.”
Meanwhile, STL and Keno – as well as selling of the instant sweepstakes tickets in areas not covered by the declaration of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) – shall be “maintained unless otherwise superseded by subsequent issuances pertaining to quarantine classifications.”
The agency has also temporarily suspended the bidding for the Philippine Lottery System (PLS) project “until further notice.”
In observance of the Holy Week, the agency will also suspend its gaming operations nationwide from April 1-4, 2021 – except for Small Town Lottery (STL) in areas with approved requests to conduct selling and draw activities.
“We encourage everyone to STAY HOME AND STAY SAFE,” the agency stated.
