WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Southwest Monsoon will be affecting western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
Weather Today – September 25, 2023
MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, and Batangas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains may occur.
Meanwhile, Eastern Visayas and Masbate will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the trough of LPA. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains may occur in these areas.
Lastly, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms may occur.
According to PAGASA’s Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Condition, the western sections of Luzon and Visayas have light to moderate wind speed directed to southeast with slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal water condition.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas have light to moderate wind speed directed to northwest with slight to moderate (0.6 to 1.5 meters) coastal water condition. Mindanao, on the other hand, will also have light to moderate wind speed directed to the west with slight to moderate (0.6 to 1.5 meters) coastal water condition.
