WEATHER UPDATE – According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the Northeast Monsoon affects Northern Luzon while Easterlies affect Southern Luzon and Visayas.
Weather Update Today – November 29, 2023
PAGASA’s weather update today (November 24, 2023) says Batanes and Babuyan Islands will be experiencing cloudy skies with rains caused by Northeast Monsoon. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
According to PAGASA’s Wind and Coastal Water forecast, Luzon has moderate to strong wind speed to northeast with Moderate to Rough / (1.2 to 4.5 meters).
Visayas and Mindanao has light to moderate wind speed east to northeast with Slight to Moderate / (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal water conditions.
Under present weather conditions, the Northeast Monsoon affects Northern Luzon. Easterlies affect Southern Luzon and Visayas.
