WEATHER UPDATE — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the trough or extension of the Low-Pressure Area (LPA) spotted outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) brings cloudy skies and rains over Mindanao.

The LPA spotted outside PAR is currently affecting the weather conditions of most of Mindanao. However, DOST-PAGASA Weather Specialist Obet Badrina reports that the LPA still has a low chance of turning into a Tropical Depression due to its weak circulation.

The trough also extends to areas in Eastern Visayas and Bohol.

Most of Luzon and Visayas are forecast to have fair weather with chances of isolated light rains showers. Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan continues to bring colder weather to northern Luzon.

For today’s weather forecast, the majority of Luzon will have fair weather with chances of isolated rain showers, particularly in northern and central Luzon. Meanwhile, Palawan may expect rains brought by localized thunderstorms.

Temperatures in Luzon range from 20 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius.
