According to PAGASA, the eastern section of Southern Luzon and the rest of Luzon will experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line and northeast monsoon on Thursday, January 25.

The weather bureau forecasts cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Aklan, Capiz, and Northern Samar, according to its 4:00 a.m. bulletin. PAGASA states that this weather event may cause possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Cloudy skies with rains are expected in Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon. This weather condition can possibly cause isolated flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cloudy skies with light rains are also expected in Cordillera Administrative Region. However, this condition is not expected to significantly impact these areas.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. This weather condition is not expected to significantly affect these areas.

The rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA stated that the risk of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms will continue to persist across the archipelago.

Meanwhile, PAGASA’s Wind and Coastal Water forecast shows that Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience strong northeast winds, causing rough coastal water conditions (2.8 to 4.0 meters), while the rest of the country will experience moderate to strong east to northeast winds, leading to moderate to rough coastal waters (1.2 to 3.4 meters).

PAGASA reminds everyone to stay informed, implement necessary precautions, remain vigilant of their environment, and be ready for possible emergency situations for easy evacuation.
