Oshi No Ko Episode 1 Review
The first episode of Oshi no Ko subverts expectations from the beginning, as it deals with the sensitive issue of teenage pregnancy, which is not often portrayed in anime.
The story follows Ai Hoshino, a popular idol who becomes pregnant with twins at the age of sixteen. Her young fan, Sarina-chan, is also shown going through a lot at a young age, which makes the show even more heartbreaking.
As the story unfolds, the viewer is introduced to Gorou, an OB-GYN, who becomes a fan of Ai. Gorou’s world is turned upside down when Ai shows up at his hospital, pregnant with twins.
Tragically, Gorou is killed by an obsessive fan, but he’s reborn as one of Ai’s twins. The first episode sets up the idea of second lives and reincarnation, which is an interesting twist that isn’t seen in many anime series.
The episode also explores the darker side of the entertainment industry, as Ai’s stalker is revealed to be the father of her twins, and he knows their new address. This adds an extra layer of intrigue to the story, making it clear that the series will delve into the less glamorous side of the entertainment industry.
The show’s unique twist on reincarnation and its exploration of the darker side of the entertainment industry makes it stand out from other anime series. The story is compelling, the animation is stunning, and the characters are intriguing. Fans of anime and manga are encouraged to check out Oshi no Ko and uncover its enigmatic world.
