On Wednesday, the US-based tech company Apple said it will be releasing a new sports app for all iPhone models running iOS 17.2 or later.
A statement from the firm stated that Apple Sports provides real-time scores, figures, and other information, and that it is designed to be quick and simple to use. It will be free to download the app on any iPhone device.
Additionally, Apple stated that the company developed a user-friendly application layout to provide users with a personalized experience that places their preferred leagues and teams at the forefront of the experience.
The United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Canada can now get Apple Sports from the App Store at no cost.
Apple’s senior vice president of Services, Eddy Cue, said, “We made Apple Sports to give sports fans what they want—an app that gives them high-speed access to scores and stats.”
Cue also said that the app makes it easy for users to keep up with their favorite teams and leagues.
Apple Sports will let users watch leagues during the season. In the US, these include the National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Soccer (MLS), the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for both men and women.
The app will also have the Bundesliga, one of the top level of the Spanish football league system for men’s football; Liga MX, the top level of football in Mexico; Ligue 1, the top league in France; Serie A in Italy, and the Premier League in England.
Additionally, Apple says that they will add more leagues to Apple Sports. For example, the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) will all be available for the upcoming season.
