Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon has been reported missing. The 26-year-old candidate represented Tuy, Batangas in Miss Grand Philippines 2023 last July, where she also worked as a public teacher. On Friday, October 13, Catherine’s sister Chin-chin Camilon, stated that Catherine was last seen on October 12, 2023.
Chin-chin stated that, “The last time Catherine called was last night at 8 PM, and her phone has been off since this morning. She usually updates us regularly; this is the first time she hasn’t been in contact.”
Chin-chin has also made a public plea on Facebook to Catherine’s colleague, who was known to be with Catherine the night before, for any information about Catherine’s location. The nameless colleague has yet to respond to her post.
Rose Camilon, Catherine and Chin-chin’s mother, also took to social media. “Please come home. Please turn on your phone so we can get in touch with you.” Her post stated. “We love you so much. Lord, please help us in reaching out to our youngest child again. Please don’t leave her alone. Keep her away from harm.”
On Monday, October 16, Chin-chin posted her mother, Rose Camilon’s cell phone number online in case anyone has information about Catherine’s whereabouts. Additionally, the Batangas-based online media company, Basilon Channel also put out a missing person post on their social media accounts.
She was last reported driving her car on the day she went missing. The vehicle is a Nissan Juke with license plate number NEI 2990. Authorities are still on the lookout for the missing candidate. There have yet to be any further updates regarding Catherine Camilon missing.
