MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Children of the late rapper Francis Magalona shared sentiments to commemorate the 14th death anniversary on Tuesday, March 6, 2023.
Master Rapper Francis Magalona’s 14th Death Anniversary was held at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
On Instagram, Maxene Magalona posted a photo of her hugging a graphic artwork painted on a mural.
Maxene later expressed a short but endearing message to her late father, Francis Magalona, “We lost you 14 years ago today and we’ve been missing you everyday since.”
“My love for you is undying, Pop. Rap in paradise,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Saab Magalona shared adorable photos with her immediate family. Netizens felt the ray of sunshine after seeing the smiles from Pancho and Vito Bacarro sitting down beside their late grandfather.
Saab later remarked, “The boys seemed very clingy to their Ate Luna hehe. I’m sure pop is loving that his grandkids are dancing on his grave, proving that showmanship runs in the family.”
Francis Michael Durango Magalona was known as, The Filipino King of Pop. Some of his earned nicknames during his career were FrancisM and The Man From Manila. The late rapper then founded Red Egg Records, his own record company, and Filipino Pictures Inc., his production company, where he served as the resident director.
FrancisM’s music career soared to heights with the album “Yo!” It is composed of several well-known singles such as “Mga Kababayan (Fellow Countrymen)”, “Gotta Let’ Cha Know,” “Cold Summer Nights,” and a duet with Pia Arroyo, “Loving You.”
Magalona died on March 6, 2009, just months after being diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia. He was 44 years old. – WhatALife!/Anthony
