NEW YORK, USA — Jonathan Majors, who is popularly known for his portrayals as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and as Damian Anderson in “Creed III,” was arrested by authorities for accusations of domestic violence in New York on Saturday, March 26.

Majors was charged with strangulation, harassment, and assault.

The New York Police Department reported that a call from an apartment in the Chelsea neighborhood was made to 911 and accused Majors of assaulting a 30-year-old woman.

Majors was arrested at the scene, while the woman, who had minor neck and head injuries, was taken to a hospital and was reported to be stable.

Majors’ lawyer said the actor was “completely innocent” and stated the star was the victim of the altercation with a woman who knew him.

In a statement obtained by BBC News, Priya Chaudhry explained: “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.

“This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.

“All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever.”

As of this writing, news updates have conveyed that Mr. Majors is no longer detained by police.

Apart from his roles in the Marvel Comics film and Creed II, the 33- year-old star also appeared in other movies, namely “Devotion,” “Magazine Drams,” and “The Harder They Fall,” to name a few. The actor also presented an award at the Oscars weeks before the arrest. – WhatALife!/Anthony
