MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Local acts will perform at the upcoming Malaya Music Fest 2022, scheduled on June 18 and 19 in Cove, Manila.

Among the country’s local acts includes the band Ben&Ben, singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo, alongside musicians The Juans, I Belong to the Zoo, Imago, and Mayonnaise.

The upcoming two-day event will mark the post-celebration of the Philippines’ Independence Day this coming June 12.

On the first day of the festival, Tabudlo will be performing with other modern musicians, Adie and Nobita. Meanwhile, Ben&Ben would share the stage on its second day with Original Pilipino Music icons, Urbandub, Imago Mayonnaise, and Moonstar88.

Malaya Music Fest 2022 is the program’s comeback after staging its first edition last 2018. According to NME, fully-vaccinated people aged 18 years and above are the only individuals they will allow to be on the festival’s ground.

The event’s Beach & Dance Deck tickets are available for PHP1,350, and the Center Deck tickets are available for PHP1,600 per person. Tickets are available through the Organizer Okada Manila’s website or by phone reservation.

Meanwhile, Ben&Ben are kicking off their first-ever North American tour this September. The band will play dates in Toronto and Calgary, alongside the cities of Los Angeles, Washington, San Francisco, and New Jersey in the United States. As of writing, there are no released statements for further information regarding additional cities and dates.

Zack Tabudlo also made a recent release of his new single ‘As You Are’ last April, which now has almost 700,000 views on YouTube. He then followed its release with the track called ‘Asan Ka Na Ba,’ which he released in March.

Malaya Music Fest marks the recent massive announced concert or festival for the country this year. Upcoming big-name shows in the Philippines for the following months include Tugatog Filipino Music Festival, AURORA Music Festival, and concerts such as Avril Lavigne, All Time Low, Alanis Morissette, and Russ. – WhatALife!
