In a heartwarming episode of “Eat Bulaga” on TV5, Maine Mendoza was showered with love and surprises on her 29th birthday, highlighting the relationship Arjo Atayde’s family holds for her.
The celebration was made special by the presence of her husband, actor and congressman Arjo Atayde, who, along with his family, expressed their heartfelt wishes through a touching video message.
Sylvia Sanchez, Maine’s mother-in-law, extended her gratitude towards Maine for the happiness she has brought into Arjo’s life.
“Hi, ‘Nak! Maine! Gusto ko naman magpasalamat sa yo. Bakit? Kasi dahil sa asawa mo si Arjo, nakikita ko yung anak ko, sa tuwing kausap ko siya… nakikita ko yung sobrang masaya si Arjo,” Sylvia expressed with warmth and affection.
The surprise continued as Art Atayde, Maine’s father-in-law, who usually stays away from the limelight despite his family’s showbiz background, made an unexpected appearance.
With a humorous tone, he teased Maine about growing older and jokingly inquired, “Pero, tumatanda ka na. So, where’s the baby? Ano ba ang ginagawa ninyo ni Arjo? Palibhasa, puro shopping siguro?”
Before adding, “Alam ko ‘di ka naman makakaganti ngayon kaya naisahan na kita. As I said, kidding aside, I wish you all the best and hope you will have a good one. Remember, we will always be here for you and we love you. Happy birthday!”
Adding to the familial love, Ria Atayde, Arjo’s sister, thanked Maine for the love she has shown towards Arjo and for extending that love to the entire family.
“You already know the rest and I’m gonna keep this short and just say I really wish that this year gives you everything your heart desires,” Ria shared, hoping the year ahead fulfills all of Maine’s heart’s desires.
Maine’s parents, Mary Ann and Teddy Mendoza, also conveyed their love and blessings, reminding their daughter of the constant support from friends and family.
“Just always remember, we love you so much. Ingat ka parati and God bless,” said Mary Ann, with Teddy adding, “Lagi mong tandaan nandito ang pamilya na kasuporta sa inyong mag-asawa, si Arjo.”
