The Land and Transportation Office (LTO) Region 13 (CARAGA) has ordered Friday the temporary suspension of enrollment and classes of theoretical driving courses in driving school in Butuan City.
LTO-13 Director Nordy Plaza said that the temporary suspension was ordered as 76 barangay in the city were placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until September 22, PNA reported.
The temporary suspension, he said, was also based on Memorandum Circular 2021-2266 that LTO chief Edgar Galvante issued on May 19, 2021.
“The safety of our clients is our top priority. We will soon announce the resumption of the classes of driving schools,” Plaza said.
As of Thursday, Butuan City has recorded a total of 8,749 COVID-19 infections with 7,477 recoveries, 1,032 remaining active cases, and 240 deaths.
