A low-pressure area (LPA) continues to bring rain to the regions of Bicol, the Visayas, and Mindanao on Tuesday, January 25.
In its 4 AM bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that the LPA was located “in the vicinity of Talacogon, Agusan del Sur.”
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
PAGASA Weather Specialist Grace Castañeda said the LPA is not expected to become a tropical cyclone, but it will continue to trigger rain in some areas in the country.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
