The Supreme Court of the Philippines officially released the 2024 Bar Exam Results on December 13, 2024, following the conclusion of the SC’s en banc session. 

Out of the 12,246 examinees who took part in the examinations held on September 8, 11, and 15, a total of 3,962 aspiring lawyers successfully passed, marking a passing rate of 37.84%. 

The passing grade for this year’s bar exams was set at 74.00%.

A Historic Day for Bar Passers

The announcement was eagerly awaited, with the Supreme Court courtyard prepared early in the day to accommodate the buzz surrounding the results. 

The SC also launched a YouTube livestream at 12:00 noon, providing the much-anticipated bar exam result 2024 list of passers Philippines in real time. 

The complete list of bar passers 2024 was also made available on the Supreme Court website, ensuring easy access for everyone.



This year’s Bar examinations were chaired by Supreme Court Associate Justice Mario V. Lopez, who oversaw the meticulous process from preparation to release. 

Notably, the Bar exam adheres to stringent protocols under the Data Privacy Act, emphasizing the confidentiality of examinee scores. 



According to the SC’s guidelines, individual scores can only be disclosed with the consent of the examinees. Law schools can request aggregated and anonymized data for educational purposes.

Exam Details and Statistics

The grueling 3-day exam saw varied turnout across the days, with 10,502 candidates present on the first day, slightly tapering to 10,490 by the third day.

The 2024 Bar exams tested candidates on key areas of law:

  • Remedial Law, Legal and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises: 25%

  • Civil Law: 20%
  • Political and Public International Law: 15%
  • Labor Law and Social Legislation: 10%
  • Criminal Law: 10%

Testing Centers Nationwide

The exams were conducted in various testing centers across the country to accommodate the large number of examinees. Major centers included:

  • Metro Manila: University of the Philippines Diliman, San Beda University, and others
  • Luzon: Saint Louis University, University of Nueva Caceres
  • Visayas: University of San Jose-Recoletos, Central Philippine University
  • Mindanao: Ateneo de Davao University, Xavier University
