A charitable initiative that started in Quezon City has now reached the City of Golden Friendship
Inspired by the Maginhawa Community Pantry, Kagay-anons across the city have put up their own makeshift pantries to help their respective communities get the basic goods they need.
Generous residents have set up makeshift pantries filled with basic necessities such as vegetables, rice, eggs, canned goods, and even Face masks and alcohol, and a sign that read “Community Pantry.”
Additional signs such as “Kuha lang sa kinahanglan. Hatag lang sa makaya (Get what you need. Give what you can)” and “Nothing is more respectable than HONESTY” are even placed to remind people to only get what they need so everyone can have the chance to avail the free supplies, and for donors to give what they can.

Pasil Road, Barangay Kauswagan
The community pantry will open at 3 PM until the supplies last. Donations can be dropped off at the community pantry along Pasil Road in Kauswagan or sent through GCash: 09672284183/Rene Principe Jr; Paymaya: 09361005385/Julie Ann Lucine; or BDO: 002840468669.
Holy Rosary Petron, C.M. Recto
Donors can drop off their goods and other basic necessities at Holy Rosary Petron, CM Recto (right across SM Downtown). Meanwhile, those who needs items from the community pantry can visit the location until the supply lasts.
Zone 3, Barangay Agusan
You can drop your donations at Doña Aurora St., Zone 3, Agusan, CDO (eskina Romualdo residence).
Barangay Bugo
Located at RVS Plaza, Bugo
Babu Kwan
This known halal restaurant in the city set up a halal community pantry. Location: Saavedra Bldg., Aguinaldo Street, Cagayan de Oro City
