Special (Non-Working) Holidays

  • August 21, 2023 – Ninoy Aquino Day

Is August 1, 2023, a holiday in the Philippines?

Through Proclamation No. 287, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 is officially declared a special (non-working) day in the municipality of Kawit, Province of Cavite.

“Whereas, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Kawit be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;”

Is August 3, 2023, a holiday in the Philippines?

According to the Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines Facebook Page, the date on Thursday, August 3, 2023 is a special (non-working) day for those in the city of Tacurong Province of Sultan Kudarat.

Under Proclamation No. 290, it was declared that it would be a holiday for the city of Tacurong, stating, “whereas, on 03 August 2023, Thursday, the City of Tacurong, Province of Sultan Kudarat, will mark the celebration of its 72nd Founding Anniversary; whereas, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Tacurong be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration.”

Is August 19, 2023, a holiday in the Philippines?

Proclamation No. 296 posted on the Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines Facebook Page shows that August 19, 2023, is an official special (non-working) day in the municipality of Angono, Province of Rizal.

As is stated in Proclamation No. 296, “On 19 August 2023, Saturday, the Municipality of Angono, Province of Rizal will mark the signing of its independence as a municipality from the Municipality of Binangonan, Rizal; where it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Angono be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration.” – WhatALife!
