Filipino group L6 made a powerful impact on the ‘America’s Got Talent’ (AGT) stage with their rendition of Celine Dion’s “All By Myself.” Comprising five siblings and one niece, L6 expressed their mission to fulfill their late mother’s dream. Their heartfelt performance resonated deeply with the audience and the panel of judges.
During their performance, which showcased their vocal prowess, judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara were visibly impressed. However, Simon Cowell seemed “distracted.” He halted their performance abruptly, prompting boos from the audience.
Amidst the crowd’s reaction, Simon intervened, offering a surprising suggestion. He advised the group to perform without the background track, emphasizing their potential as a great acapella group. L6 embraced the challenge, delivering a breathtaking acapella rendition of “All By Myself,” highlighting their harmonious blend and raw talent.
Moreover, the judges were moved by their resilience and talent. Howie Mandel also remarked, “You could tell instantly, this is a great singing group. How you just took on everything without a track—you were more unique. It was more special. It was more memorable. And you just absolutely nailed that.”
Ultimately, impressed by their performance, all four judges voted “yes,” sending L6 to the live shows where they could win the $1 million prize. The group shared their dream of purchasing a larger home for their family, as they currently reside in a small rental with ten siblings and four children.
Catch L6 and other outstanding acts as they compete for the grand prize on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ airing Tuesday nights on NBC.
