MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo discussed her choice to assist her Goin’ Bulilit batchmate in completing college.
At the contract renewal event, Goin Bulilit director Bobot Mortiz shared a touching message for Kathryn. He recounted an instance when the mother of a former “bulilit” informed him that Kathryn had sponsored her batchmate’s college education after the father passed away.
According to the ABS-CBN News article, when questioned about this matter, Kathryn revealed that her mother had developed a close relationship with her batchmate’s father.
“During that time, the dad, naging kaibigan namin ni Mama, alam mo ‘yun sabay kakain and then for a time nag-stop mag-artista ‘yung tao na ‘to and naka-receive kami ng message from the mom na ito ‘yung nangyari sa dad tsaka ‘di na rin siya nag-artista,” she shared.
Kathryn Bernardo disclosed that she and her mother made a commitment to the father to support and ensure the completion of her batchmate’s college education.
“Yung isa sa dreams ng dad niya sa kanya, na makatapos ng college because he’s so smart and alam mo rin ‘yung mga tao na masarap tulungan kasi masipag,” the actress said.
Kathryn is recognized as a contemporary showbiz superstar, transitioning from a child star to becoming one of the most sought-after actresses. Her involvement in projects has significantly elevated both her career and popularity.
