Kagay-anons have taken to social media to express their frustration regarding the current interruption of water services in several barangays of Cagayan de Oro.
According to a Facebook post by the Cagayan de Oro City Water District (COWD), the interruption of water services was scheduled from March 2, 2024, 9:00 am, to March 3, 2024, 1:00 am. However, as of March 4, 2024, 9:00 am, the affected barangays are still awaiting the resumption of water services. Prior to this, extensions of the water service interruption prolonged the delay, further exacerbating the frustration and exasperation of the Kagay-anons.
As a result, numerous Facebook posts have been shared regarding the matter.
One netizen jokingly posted a message anticipating the return of water services in CDO.
Moreover, another shared a seemingly unrelated video with the caption Time check ta diha Cagayan de Oro City Water District.
Another netizen posted a photo of the usage of paper plates due to the inability to wash dishes caused by the interruption of water services.
The said water interruption was due to COBI’s relocation of existing isolation valves affected by the ongoing DPWH flood control project.
However, the COWD already announced via fb post that the COBI emergency leak repair was completed at 2:30 am today and that COWD is also currently checking for airlocks and performing adjustments to accommodate the return of bulk water supply.
Kagay-anons are eagerly awaiting the return of water services so they can resume their daily chores that require the use of water.
