The NBA is known for being a professional basketball league in North America. The NBA is seen as one of the elite men’s basketball leagues worldwide. Currently, the National Basketball Association has thirty teams divided into the Eastern and Western Conference, which are further divided into three different divisions.

Holiday, a well-played point guard in the league, was acquired by the Portland Trail Blazers into the Milwaukee Bucks and quickly transferred to the Boston Celtics, as mentioned by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Earlier this week, the Portland Trail Blazers traded Holiday to the Boston Celtics for Robert Williams III and Malcolm Brogdon.

It was revealed that the Portland Trail Blazers had no intentions of keeping Holiday since the team is now more focused on growing their young guards, Scoot Henderson, Anfernee Simmons, and Shaedon Sharpe.

As of the Celtics roster 2023, the team is comprised of the following NBA players: Dalano Banton, Oshae Brissett, Jaylen Brown, JD Davison, Sam Hauser, Jrue Holiday, Al Horford, Luke Kornet, Svi Mykhailiuk, Kristaps Porzingis, Payton Pritchard, Neemias Queta, Jay Scrubb, Lamar Stevens, Jayson Tatum, Jordan Walsh, and Derrick White. Joe Mazzulla currently coaches the team.

Sources report that the Boston Celtics were part of Holiday’s wish list for teams he aimed to be traded to. The Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat also reportedly showed interest in the player, but Boston ultimately beat them to it. The Celtics also intend to keep Holiday long-term, with just one more year left in his deal.

Holiday is set to co-star as guards in the Celtics team with Derrick White, who also earned All-Defensive honors in the previous season.
