In the Philippines, IU is set to have her second performance in four and a half years. Her inaugural concert in the country, titled “Love, Poem,” took place on December 13, 2019, at the Araneta Coliseum. Describing the concert as a “festival-like event,” it extended for a duration of four hours.
Filipino fans left a strong impression on IU with their enthusiastic and loud cheers.
“This is not something that I just say really. I’m gonna bet everything that no one can beat Manila. I feel all my staff are so shocked right now. You guys are really the best. The people who love are all here in the Philippines. The city of passion and love: Manila. Salamat po. Babalik ako para makita kayo ulit (Thank you. I will be back to see you again),” she said.
IU is gearing up for a comeback with a new album, featuring her first single titled “Love Wins,” which will include V of BTS in the music video.
Renowned for hits like “Palette (feat. G-DRAGON),” “eight (Prod. & feat. SUGA of BTS),” “BBIBBI,” “LILAC,” and “Blueming,” she has also collaborated with Agust D (SUGA’s alter ego) on the single “People Pt.2.”
Apart from her music career, IU is an accomplished actress and is slated to star in the upcoming drama “Thank You for Your Hard Work” alongside Park Bo Gum.
