The beloved noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” is set to make its debut on GMA starting April 6.
The highly anticipated announcement unfolded during the It’s Showtime contract signing. Held at the GMA Studios, the event was attended by key figures from both GMA and ABS-CBN. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in the history of Filipino television.
Among the prominent personalities present in the contract signing were GMA Network Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, President and CEO Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., and counterparts from ABS-CBN, including President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak and Chairman Mark L. Lopez. Their collective presence signified the collaborative effort between two rival networks in bringing the groundbreaking development to fruition.
Moreover, gracing the occasion were the esteemed hosts of “It’s Showtime,” including Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Karylle, and a host of other beloved entertainers, who expressed their excitement and gratitude towards both networks for the opportunity.
Taking over the noontime slot previously occupied by “Tahanang Pinakamasaya,” “It’s Showtime” will entertain audiences with its signature blend of humor and heartwarming moments.
Vice Ganda, speaking on behalf of the hosts, described the collaboration as “historic” and “iconic,” highlighting the unity between ABS-CBN and GMA in bringing joy and entertainment to homes across the country.
This significant move marks a new chapter for “It’s Showtime,” which previously aired on GMA’s subsidiary GTV.
