Naoya ‘Monster’ Inoue is taking on Stephen’ Cool Boy Stef’ Fulton Jr. as he goes up a weight to challenge the undefeated unified WBC and WBO champion. 

The fight will take place tonight at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Fulton vs Inoue will start at 5:30 pm Japan time on Tuesday and will be livestreaming on ESPN+. On top of that, Boxing News 24 will provide live results and updates on the fight. 

Inoue decides to take the chance and risk fighting Fulton instead of fighting the other two champions at 122-pound weight. 

“This fight was easy to make, and you know why? Because both sides believe their guy is going to win. That’s the reason why this fight is happening,” said Tim Bradley to Top Rank Boxing.

“The fact that you’ve got ‘Cool Boy Steph’ actually saying, ‘Okay, I’m going to go over there and fight this Monster in his home turf. This is Devin Haney-ish type of stuff that he’s doing here,” Bradley added. 

Inoue is a -400 favorite (risk $400 to win $100) in the most recent Inoue vs. Fulton odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while Fulton is a +310 underdog. The number of rounds is 9.5 over/under. Inoue vs Fulton is a highly anticipated fight, as the two boxers have different fighting styles. Inoue has the distance over Fulton, and once Fulton is able to get up close and personal with Inoue in the ring, there will be a good chance for Fulton to take the victory. 

“When I watch him on film, he’s tactically sound; he’s the bigger guy, and if he can take Inoue’s shots and if he can find a way to close distance on him, tie him, rough him up because Inoue has never faced a type of guy that has the skill that Fulton has,” said Tim Bradley.

“This is his first shot at 122 lbs. He’s never fought a fighter at 122. This is his first, and he’s picking on the best guy. Do you want to know why? Because he believes his power will transcend up to 122 lbs,” said Bradley.
