Due to personal reasons, Oshae Brissett has been listed as questionable for the Boston Celtics game against the New York Knicks on Friday.
The Celtics released on their injury list for Thursday’s contest. Jayson Tatum (knee), Jaylen Brown (hand), Jrue Holiday (knee), Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring), Al Horford (toe) and Xavier Tillman (knee) are all questionable.
JD Davison, Neemias Queta, Jordan Walsh, and Drew Peterson are the other players on the injury report. However, they aren’t injured. The quartet will be on G League duties.
Outside the energetic wing, the Celtics have a clean bill of health. As such, their primary rotation will be at full strength when Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving visit the TD Garden.
Dallas has won eight of their last ten games and looked like a vastly improved team since adding PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford at the trade deadline. With that in mind, the Celtics will face a stern test as they bid to win their 10th straight game and continue setting the pace in the Eastern Conference.
Brissett has played four minutes and forty-eight seconds over the past three games, so his absence shouldn’t be too much of a blow for the Celtics coaching staff.
However, he does provide energy and has proven capable of swinging momentum in close games. Should Brissett be officially ruled out, it will be interesting to see who Joe Mazzulla turns to if the Celtics need an energy boost off the bench.
