In order to sustain democratic ideals, it is essential to make sure that the voting process is simple and accessible. The Comelec’s Precinct Finder this 2023 is one crucial tool that is essential in this regard.
The Comelec’s precinct finder is now available for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) today, October 30, 2023. Registered voters are once again expected to cast their votes and select the nation’s next leaders. In this article, we’ll guide you through a step-by-step process on how to get your polling information smoothly online.
The Online Precinct Finder: precinctfinder.comelec.gov.ph
STEP 1: Official Comelec Precinct Finder website
For the BSKE Elections 2023, the COMELEC has provided the official precint finder website (link down below). Once you’re in, a “Disclaimer” pop up will appear saying:
This Site is designed to do an exact match of the data you provide vs what is in the COMELEC central database. Make sure to type in your voter information as indicated in your Application Form for Registration in order to get a positive result.
By proceeding with accomplishing this Form, you give consent to the processing of your personal information by the Commission on Elections pursuant to its mandate in relation to voter registration.
Click “Continue” to proceed.
STEP 2: Fill Out Voter Information
For this step, you will be asked to provide the requested voter information. Keep in mind that all fields should be filled out.
Input your personal information such as your First Name (Unang Pangalan), Middle Name (Gitnang Pangalan), Last Name (Apelyido), Date of Birth (Petsa ng kapanganakan), and Place of Registration (Lugar kung saan naka rehistro).
Those with name suffixes (e.g. JUAN JR., JUAN SR., JUAN III) are instructed to input it after your FIRST NAME.
For those with MARIA, you may try different variations (e.g. MARIA, MA., MA)
If you have no Middle Name, indicate underscore “_” or dot “.”
For those registered in Isabela City, Select SPECIAL PROVINCE from the Province drop-down list.
Once all fields have been filled, review the form and make sure that the information you have given is correct.
STEP 3: Captcha test and confirmation
The precinct finder, processes personal information so before pressing the blue search button, you will be asked to pass the captcha test.
After pressing the search button, a small “Confirmation” pop-up will appear with this message:
“Are you sure you want to proceed with the information you have entered?
If there are corrections that have to be made, you may still edit your information.”
This will also appear as a reminder:
“DATA PRIVACY NOTICE: Please be reminded that NO PERSONAL INFORMATION is being stored in the database. Your personal information are only being used to search and verify your voter registration status.”
You may click the “Edit” button if there are still corrections to be made to the information you entered.
Simply click the “Proceed” button if everything is correct.
STEP 4: View your polling information
After pressing the “Proceed” button, the COMELEC Precinct Finder should show you your polling information which includes your:
- Complete Name (Kumpletong Pangalan)
- Date of Birth (Petsa ng kapanganakan)
- Place of Registration (Lugar kung saan ka nakarehistro)
- Polling Place
- Precinct No.
The page will also show records of your Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
