IN PHOTOS: Flash flood hits Camiguin capital

Heavy rains caused by a Low Pressure Area (LPA) has triggered heavy flooding in the capital of Mambajao in Camiguin province on Tuesday, January 12.

According to the state weather bureau at 3 PM Tuesday, the LPA was estimated at 160 km Southeast of General Santos City. Meanwhile, a tail-end of the Frontal System has affected the Visayas and a Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.

In a PIA Camiguin report, the provincial government is currently serving 21 families with 95 family members, all from Sitio Tapon, Poblacion, and Mambajao. They evacuated at province’s Evacuation Center due to flash flood. The evacuees are given food packs, mats, blankets, and malong.
