The son of the late “King of Comedy” Dolphy, former actor Edgardo “Edgar” Quizon, has passed away at 63 due to pneumonia.

Edgar’s brother, actor-director Eric Quizon, confirmed the sad news in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

“Farewell, Kuya Edgar. May you find peace in heaven.” Eric said, “Please hug Dad, Kuya Freddie, Kuya Rolly, and Dino for me.” Eric is among Dolphy’s four children with Alice Smith.

Edgar, on the other hand, was one of Dolphy’s six children with partner Engracita Dominguez. His siblings are Manuel, Salud, Rodolfo Jr., Wilfredo, and Raul.

“You will be missed. We love you. Rest in peace, my brother,” Eric added on his post, giving no other information about his brother’s passing.

Wendell Ramos, Bela Padilla, Bing Loyzaga, and other friends from the entertainment industry all expressed their sympathies to Eric and the whole Quizon family.

Edgar’s remains will be cremated at St. Peter’s Chapel in Quezon City.
