The star-studded Netflix satire debuts this December
Netflix dropped Wednesday the first trailer for their star-studded film ‘Don’t Look Up’ starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, and it promises a good laugh and lots of not-so-subtle climate change metaphors.
Aside from the A-list main characters, there are also appearances from Ron Perlman, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Cate Blanchett, and Tyler Perry.
Directed and co-written by Adam McKay, the film tells the story of two low-level astronomers who must go on a giant media tour to warn humankind of an approaching comet that will destroy Earth. Unfortunately, the duo encounters resistance from an indifferent, disbelieving public and a combative government administration.
McKay previously directed the movies Anchorman (2004), Step Brothers (2008), and The Big Short (2016).

‘Don’t Look Up’ will hit selected theatres and stream on Netflix on December 24, 2021.
