Dominic Roque, who has not yet addressed the rumors of a breakup plaguing his relationship with actress Bea Alonzo, expressed his faith when thinking about enduring hardship.
On Monday, February 5, the actor shared the Bible text Romans 5:3–4 on his Instagram Stories to start his day.
“We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope,” it read.
Along with the verse was a short story that embodies the value of “persevering and rejoicing in suffering.”
“Jesus, may I find hope and joy in You as You provide what I need to persevere in this life,” a prayer included in the post stated.
Although Roque did not directly address the rumors pertaining to his connection with Alonzo, the Bible verses he chose indicate that he relies on faith and spiritual strength when things are tough.
When internet users noted that the actress was missing her engagement ring from recent events, rumors of Roque and Alonzo’s alleged separation started to circulate.
According to comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz, several industry insiders have made a variety of claims regarding the pair’s relationship status. These claims include that Roque is still courting the actress to try and mend their relationship, that Alonzo may be experiencing wedding jitters, and that Alonzo wanted to keep their wedding specifics a secret.
“Sabi ng isa kong source, wala na sila, hiwalay na sila. May nagsabi rin sa akin na ‘yung post ni Dominic na siya’y nag-iisa na tinatanaw ang dagat at hampas ng alon meron daw problema ‘yun,” Ogie said.
Ogie said that Dominic is still persuading Bea for them to be a couple again.
“Yun nga, ang sabi sa akin ng source, sinusuyo pa rin ni Dominic Roque si Bea Alonzo para sila ay magkaayos,” Ogie said.
Although there has been a lot of conjecture about the purported breakup of the famous couple, neither Roque nor Alonzo have made an official statement on the subject.
