The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday, August 5, reminded employers that the “no vaccine, no work policy” is prohibited.
Citing Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Advisory 3, Series of 2021, the DOH said that “all employers may only encourage their workers to get vaccinated.”
“Any employee who chooses not to get vaccinated or fails to get vaccinated shall not be discriminated against in terms of employment,” the DOH said.
DOH added that proof of vaccination is not a requirement for employment as stated in Republic Act 11525, known as the “COVID-19 Vaccination Program Act of 2021.”
