David’s Salon CEO Passes at 69 1

Prominent Filipino salon chain David’s Salon CEO, David Charlton passes at sixty-nine on October 29. The salon held a public viewing for the bereaved CEO yesterday.

The official David’s Salon Facebook page announced the passing of their CEO on the evening of October 29. The final mass for his funeral will be at The Chapels Heritage Park Taguig.

The announcement photo wrote, “The whole family of David’s Salon mourns the passing of our founder. His love and generosity will forever be remembered.



Moreover, many former employees and loyal customers shared their experiences with the CEO in the comments. One Facebook user wrote, “RIP amo. Thank you for your love and dedication to the Philippine hairdressing community.”

Another extended their condolences to his wife, “Rest in peace. My condolences to you and your family, ma’am Laura Charlton.”

Redditors also shared their experiences in his salon. In addition, one user shared, “RIP David. Loyal customers kami ng mom ko sa salon niya, even today.”

On the other hand, another user highlighted their memory of the old David’s Salon commercials, especially at its peak in the 2000s. 



“(I) always remember him (from) when I was a kid, watching that early morning show. ‘Umagang Kay Ganda’ ata from ABS where they have a segment for his salon.”

David Charlton’s cause of death was not officially revealed. 



For everyone’s reference, the hairdresser moved from Britain to the country in 1978, where he worked as a manager at the Rever Salon. He began his salon business in 1989, with a branch in Cubao. 

Since then, David’s Salon has had over two hundred branches in the Philippines, including the Middle East and the United States.
