Are you a registered voter yet? If not, you can now process your application online!
(UPDATE – 9/6/2021) — Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has opened its online registration (iRehistro) to voter applications for the upcoming May 2022 National and Local elections.
The poll body, however, reminded applicants that they still need to personally go to the local Comelec office for the biometrics (photograph, fingerprints, and signature) data capture to complete the filing process.
“Accomplishing the online form does not automatically make you a registered voter,” the COMELEC said in an announcement on its website.
“You still have to personally appear before your local COMELEC office together with the printed online application forms (3 copies) for QR scanning and biometrics capture to complete the filing process,” it added.
The COMELEC said the online facility only attempts to facilitate the process of accomplishment of the application form.
“It does not automatically mean approval of your application,” it said.
COMELEC added: “The Election Registration Board (ERB) still has to approve your application on the scheduled date for the next ERB hearing.”

- Step 2: Fill-in your personal information, citizenship details, and residency data;
- Step 3: Set an appointment with your local COMELEC offices for Biometric capture.

Voter registration for the National and Local 2022 elections has resumed last September 1 except in areas under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) or Modified ECQ.
Registration under ECQ or MECQ will immediately resume once the quarantine status is either downgraded to general community quarantine (GCQ) or modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) or if the quarantine is lifted entirely, the poll body said.
Moreover, registration applications may be submitted from Monday to Thursday, from 8 AM to 3 PM at the Office of the Election Officer.
Despite eight months lost due to community lockdowns, the COMELEC stands on its ground to end voter’s registration on September 31, 2021.
