Claudine Barretto openly declared her unwillingness to work with actress Angelu de Leon, emphasizing her anticipation for a reunion project specifically with Gladys Reyes and Judy Ann Santos. 

At the 20th wedding anniversary celebration of Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas on Saturday, January 27, Claudine and Gladys were captured sharing a moment on stage.

“I-manifest na natin yung pelikula natin with Juday,” Barretto told Reyes.

“Game ka ba doon, Clau? Game ka ba doon kung matutuloy ang reunion project natin with Juday and Angelu?” Gladys asked Claudine. 

Reyes was then shocked after Barretto responded, “No, no, no. Ikaw lang, ako, and Judy Ann. Walang Angelu.”

“Huh? Talaga ba?” Gladys replied. 

“Oo. Bakit sinali mo ‘yun?” Claudine said.

Reyes chuckled nervously and appeared to attempt to restrain Barretto from making additional comments by physically distancing the microphone from her.

“Wala ka nang masabi no?” Barretto told her, who was apparently changing the topic. “Uy, nagsasabi lang ako ng totoo. Tayong tatlo lang ‘yon.”

After Reyes invited other guests, namely actors Wowie de Guzman and Vhong Navarro, to join them on stage, Barretto concluded her comments about De Leon. 

According to a report by PEP, Barretto mentioned that she didn’t appreciate Angelu commenting on a past issue concerning her. It was noted that De Leon had attended the event but had already departed the party before Barretto addressed the audience on stage.

“There are two instances. Nu’ng nagkaproblema kami ni Jolina [Magdangal] at saka nu’ng nagkaproblema kami ng mga kapatid ko,” Claudine said.

“Na both times may presscon siya noon. At saka, nagbigay siya ng advice for me,” she added.

“Buti kung isang beses, e. Dalawang beses. So, parang ang akin, anong pakialam mo doon, ‘di ba?,” Claudine continued.

“Kung wala kang magawa, tumahimik ka na lang, ‘di ba? Ang career mo ang pag-usapan mo, huwag ‘yung career ko. ‘Yun lang ang ano ako. Kaya ayaw ko siyang makatrabaho,” she concluded.
