Cagayan de Oro City reported 20 new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Friday, January 8.

In today’s press briefing, City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said the city logged a total of 20 new cases as of 10 PM yesterday, one of which is a person deprived of liberty (PDL), four local cases with link, four local APOR, and 11 local index cases.

With this, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the city are at 2,949

Out of the cumulative total, 304 are active cases, 95 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 205 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), and four cases under the ROF/LSI category.

Dr. Nery also announced eight new recoveries and two new deaths, bringing the total recovery and death toll to 2,496 and 149, respectively.

Of the cumulative total, 404 are under the LSI/ROF category, with four active cases, one death (ROF), and 399 recovered.

Meanwhile, local cases rise to 2,545 with 205 active cases, 148 deaths, and 2,097 recoveries.
