International service organization Rotary District 3590 recently received a generous donation from South Korean idol BTS Jimin.

Rotary District 3590 said Jimin donated 100 million won (approximately P4.2 million) last July under his father’s name, Soompi reported. The donation the Korean idol gave was to fund a campaign aimed at creating vaccines to eradicate polio.

The organization will unveil its collected funds on October 24, also known as World Polio Day, an annual observance established by Rotary International in celebration of Jonas Salk, who developed the vaccine against polio.

The 25-year-old K-pop star has continuously made donations to good causes, including his alma mater Busan High School of Arts, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, and the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation. – WhatALife.ph
